Extremely rare handmade clay bulldog humidor made by cigar company John W. Merriam & co in 1908. Very little information exists on this but was believed to be a 50 count cigar container/ humidor. This is a very cool piece and due to fragile construction, its very rare to have it in such great condition after 115+ years.

Features bulldog head lid, “At the sign of the bulldog” quote & raised bulldog etching on the front. Below bulldog is “John.W.Merriam & Co Segar Makers” tag.
Bottom of humidor features makers mark – “Fact’y No1 – 50 – 2nd Dist. NY and Pinar Del Rio Pottery, fabricators”
Lower back of humidor is etched date “Copyright 1908”
